This digital collection consists of materials from Opera Omaha Records (http://unomaha-public.lyrasistechnology.org/repositories/4/resources/340). The Opera Omaha Records collection houses materials from before its founding in the 1950s to the present, documenting the history of the organization (http://www.operaomaha.org/), its administration, and its productions. Included are: board meeting minutes (1958-1994), news clippings (1954-1990), audio and video recordings (1960s-2000s), scrapbooks, photographs, negatives, slides, programs, posters, original and artworks. A portion of these materials is collected by Cele Washington related to her affiliation with the Opera Omaha Craftsman's Guild and in addition to some of the same material about the organization and its operations such as programs also includes correspondence. New material added 2016-07-01: The records from Opera Omaha document productions and include programs, posters, oversize photographs, marketing material and video recordings of performances with scattered coverage from approximately 1975-2015.
Photographs and the title page and the list of the cast, chorus, and creative team of the programs from the Opera Omaha Records are currently the only available materials included in this digital collection. The addition of photos will be ongoing.
