About this collection

The Omaha Zoo Foundation (https://www.omahazoofoundation.org/ ) was founded in 1984 to advance the mission of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, which is dedicated to the education of the public and the preservation of earth’s priceless biodiversity. The Omaha Zoo Foundation is to enhance efforts in zoo conservation, education and animal welfare programs. This Omaha Zoo Foundation Film Collection contains film footage of documenting various animals and zoos in the mid-twentieth century. This collection also includes commercial educational video films.

22 video films are currently presented in this collection. However, we will be incorporating more of the video films from the Omaha Zoo Foundation into this collection in the near future.
