This collection contains fully-searchable digital derivitives of original materials created by Works Progress Administration writers in the state of Nebraska documenting the cultural heritage of the area from territorial time through the 1930s. The collection includes demographic information about specific ethnic groups living in the area, transcripts of personal interviews with community members, data from secondary sources as well as general information about settlement of Nebraska and Omaha. Information contained within documents in this collection was gathered for a guide to the area which was never published.
